Updated 2012 ESPNU 100 Rankings

ESPN has updated their ESPNU100 list for the class of 2012. Below is the breakdown of B1G and local Big East schools. ESPN assigns each player with a overall score and a star level. Those can be found at the end of each line. Bolded players have made the Top 100 list and their overall rank is listed.

DePaul:

* DeJuan Marrero 6’6″ 195 (Gary, IN – Bowman Academy)        || #50 SF | 89 | 3 stars

* Jodan Price 6’7″ 170 (Southfield, MI – Detroit Country Day)   || #61 SF | 88 | 2 stars

Illinois:

ESPN The Magazine Preseason Power Rankings

ESPN The Magazine, along with David Hanner from RealGM.com, have used mathematical formulas and statistics (like returning players, injuries, coaching and recruit/transfer talent level. After doing the calculations, the Magazine ranked ALL 344 Division-1 basketball programs in order.

Below, we have listed the Top-10 programs according to the Magazine, plus all other local programs that you readers are here to find out more about! If you want to see the whole list, just click the link above (PDF format). Following each team is where they are projected to finish in their prospective conference.

B1G Conference ESPN/CBS game schedule

The B1G Conference released the list of ESPN and CBS broadcast games for the upcoming basketball season. The Big Ten Network is expected to release it’s TV schedule tomorrow, meaning all of the B1G schools should have their conference schedules completed. Once all schedules are available, we will have a side bar with which you will be able to access them all. Here’s a list of the conference games that will be broadcast nationally via ESPN and CBS. Note that some games later in the season are “wildcard” games, meaning it is undetermined which game will make the slot. This will be decided later on as a result of standings, players, etc.

(Though they are all sure to be great games, I bolded some of the most notable match-ups!)

December 27 – Wisconsin at Nebraska 9pm ESPN2

Dec 31 – Illinois at Purdue 4pm, Ohio State at Indiana 6pm ESPN2

January 1 – Penn State at Northwestern 7pm ESPNU

Jan 3 – Michigan State at Wisconsin 7pm ESPN2

Jan 5 – Michigan at Indiana 9pm ESPN2

Jan 8 – Wisconsin at Michigan 1:30 or 4:30pm CBS

Jan 10 – Ohio State at Illinois 9pm ESPN

Jan 12 – Wisconsin at Purdue 7pm ESPN/ESPN2

Jan 15 – Indiana at Ohio State 1:30 or 4:30pm CBS
